The PRPC's Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) is designed to empower residents of the Panhandle region to resolve all types of conflicts through the use of mediation. With discussions facilitated by a pair of trained, impartial mediators, individuals who are experiencing a dispute agree to meet with one another and ultimately create a solution that is mutually agreeable to both parties. This process offers a viable, more timely and cost-effective alternative to court resolution. This mediation process allows the justice system to direct its efforts to more pressing cases requiring judicial intervention, such as criminal cases.
