Economic Development District

The Economic Development District supports the formulation and implementation of economic development planning programs designed to create or retain permanent jobs and increase incomes, particularly for the unemployed and underemployed. Planning activities supported by this program are part of a permanent and continuous planning process at Panhandle Regional Planning Commission. Assistance is provided in any area pertaining to economic development, such as grant preparation; grant administration; project development; assistance to local businesses; and topical workshops.
